A positive number is by mistake divided by 6 instead of being multiplied by 6. What is the % error on the basis of correct answer ?

A fraction is such that if the double of the numerator and the triple of the denominator is changed by + 10% and –30% respectively then we get 11% of 16/21. Find the fraction.

In an examination Krish scores a total of 654 marks out of 950. What is his approximate percentage in the examination?

Required approximate percentage
= ${654 × 100}/950 % = 68.84% ≈ 69%$
Aryan got 350 marks and Vidya scored 76 percent marks in the same test. If Vidya scored 296 marks more than Aryan what were the maximum marks of the test ?

Vidya scored == 350 + 296 = 646
76% of Max marks = 646
∴ Max marks = 646 × $100/76$ = 850
In a examination it is required to get 40% of the aggregate marks to pass. A student gets 265 marks and is declared failed by 55 marks. What is the maximum aggregate marks a student can get ?

Let the maximum marks be x
∴ (265 + 55) = ${40x}/100$
or 320 × 100 = 40x
∴ $x = {320 × 100}/40 = 800$
